The FBSN Leadership Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

WE BELIEVE there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE in the deity and humanity of Christ; in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.

WE BELIEVE that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.

FIRST GLIMPSE of the Faith Based Security Network.

Times are serious for churches and faith based organizations across the world. In America, we had let down our guard. American bible-based ministries had developed a westernized idea that God was somehow different here than in other parts of the world; that evil would never invade our sanctuary.

The times of denial are over; evil has invaded American sanctuaries and will continue to do so. It is time to take individual ministry readiness to the next level.

On October 18th, 2017, the IRS approved the Faith Based Security Network, Inc. (FBSN) as a 501(C)(3) public charity. We will soon be rolling out the details of how this new ministry will help law-enforcement and faith-based organizations (FBO's) work together to better prepare for the next one. And there will be a next one.

The FBSN goes beyond individual preparedness as the first Christian based security association to ever bring together the people of all types and locations of ministries as a national connected network. Not only is the time of denial behind us, but it is time to stop being silos of proprietary information.

The FBSN is a religious non-profit organization serving faith-based security and interested law-enforcement professionals with 5 services critical to improving American FBO readiness.

1) Networking.

The FBSN is a national network of local individuals and chapters. It is a framework for developing, advancing and connecting local professionals with those in other areas.

Coalitions are starting across the US. The FBSN does not intend to replace them, but rather to connect them. The FBSN will assist new regions to develop coalitions, and offer ways for individuals to tap into the momentum if there is no coalition in their area that fits their needs.

2) Benchmarks.

The FBSN collects data on operating budgets, team sizes, most common incidents, training and other measures to help teams compare operations and recognize normal standards.

3) Best Practices & Resources.

The FBSN collects best practices and develops them into consistent format documents. Knowing what works well for others is a great step towards building a plan specific for any ministry. Knowing vetted and seasoned vendors and resources proven by others is an important step as well.

4) Threat intelligence sharing and models.

The FBSN works with law-enforcement and other churches in any given area to develop or improve methods for discovery, documentation and dissemination of current threats. The faith-based safety coalition of Colorado Springs has done this since 2008 with federal and local law-enforcement. FBSN operations are modeled on the successful methods of that pioneering coalition.

5) Public Policy and a representative legislative voice.

The FBSN campaigns for regional issues of legislation (within IRS guidelines) for laws applicable to the safe operations of ministries.
